With support from the Turing Foundation and ZOA, the SHIFSD ENTERPRISE AND JOB TRAINING INSTITUTE (THE BRIDGE), has an ongoing technical vocational education and training program integrated with literacy. Courses being offered include but not limited to masonry, carpentry, auto mechanics, electricity, tailoring and plumbing. Besides tailoring, all the aforementioned training course run for 12 months for now and three days a week. Computer literacy, theatre art, and ILO approved “How to Generate Your Business Idea; Start Your Business, and Improve Your Business” courses will be starting this October as short term courses. Attached is a photos of plumbing trainees installing water lines as part of their practical assignments.
